ABOUT TIONG WEI TEH

Scientific employee and PhD candidate at the Institute of Thermodynamics and Thermal Process Engineering (ITT), University of Stuttgart. The research funding is granted by SimTech Cluster of Excellence EXC 2075 in the project „Pore topology and surface design for energy storage applications“. My research focuses on using classical Density Functional Theory (DFT) as surrogate model for molecular simulations in the prediction of adsorption isotherms in porous materials. This surrogate modeling allows high throughput material or fluid screenings for various technical applications such as carbon capture and energy storage. The employment includes a teaching of various courses provided by the institute to undergraduate and graduate students. During my employment, I have assisted in the modules (1) Thermal Process Engineering I in spring 2023,(2) Technical Thermodynamics I in fall 2033, and (3) Technical Thermodynamics II in spring 2024.
