ABOUT TING-HSUAN KOIKEVIN CHEN
I’m a master’s student in Computer Science at the University of Southern California, focusing on computer vision, 3D scene understanding, and generative AI. My current research involves diffusion models, autonomous agents, and 3D representations such as NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and voxel-based methods. I also explore robotics through simulator development and embodied agent interaction. My first academic paper, which I submitted as the first author, was accepted to NeurIPS 2024. I previously worked as a full-time R&D engineer at Foxconn, where I co-invented a patented AI technology for medical imaging. Later, I joined an academic-industry collaboration with MediaTek to work on 3D vision and generative modeling. I am currently a research intern at Bosch in Sunnyvale, contributing to projects in scene understanding and generative AI.As an undergraduate, I majored in Applied Mathematics and completed substantial coursework in Computer Science. I graduated as the valedictorian and ranked first in my department for all semesters, earning a perfect GPA of 4.27 out of 4.3 and membership in the Phi Tau Phi Honor Society.I am passionate about advancing research at the intersection of visual perception, simulation, and autonomous decision-making, especially in areas that bring together geometry, generative modeling, and embodied intelligence.
