After 15 years across the financial centers of New York, London, and Hong Kong, I returned to Texas in 2019 with one conviction: the discipline and systems thinking that Wall Street demands could transform an industry that needed it badly.What I found surprised me. Restaurant owners were overpaying for materials, losing months to unreliable suppliers, and receiving beautiful designs impossible to execute on budget. The problem was not design talent. It was the supply chain behind it.That realization was 25 years in the making.What started as a necessity evolved into something far bigger. Sourcing interior materials from Asia for our own hospitality projects, we built what most companies simply do not have. Deep manufacturer relationships. A local team in Asia who understands design intent. Rigorous quality control covering finish validation, stress testing, and packaging inspection before anything ships.That infrastructure has powered over 400 hospitality projects across the United States, including Yao Ming\'s Houston restaurant and Chef Ling Wu\'s Austin restaurants, featured in Eater Austin, Austin Chronicle, and Austin American-Statesman.That is why I founded Golden Town Materials.Golden Town is a sourcing and manufacturing platform built specifically for hospitality.
