A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Tina N. Herbert is a workers’ compensation attorney with over 15 years of legal and management experience. Representing Injured WorkersShe recently joined Mickle & Bass, LLC, a personal injury firm with most former Workers’ Compensation Commissioners (judges) of any other firm in the State. She uses a wealth of prior litigation experience in family law, criminal law, business and contract litigation, sexual harassment and workers’ compensation defense to represent people who have been injured on their jobs. Community and Economic DevelopmentPrior to joining Mickle & Bass, Ms. Herbert served as the Director of the Office of Business Opportunities for the City of Columbia. Her role primarily focused on identifying and reducing barriers impacting small, minority, and women owned businesses. While at the City, she was responsible for several initiatives including the Supplier Diversity Strategy to implement the City\'s disparity study, Columbia Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, Minority Business Advisory Council, Minority Business Opportunity Conference and Resource Guide, the Real Business Women of Columbia, and more. Ms. Herbert continues to assist the City of Columbia with its food cooperative initiative that was designed to build a grocery store in North Columbia.
