ABOUT TINA KHALILZADEH

Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming an Ophthalmologist, imagining myself as a compassionate healer. However, when I faced the decision of choosing my university major, I realized that studying pharmacy would not only allow me to have a meaningful impact on patients\' lives but also offer the opportunity to engage in research. After completing my Pharm.D, I stepped out of my comfort zone and pursued further studies in molecular medicine, a closely related field, in a distant land far from my hometown. Joining the CERC-MEND research team, I immersed myself in studying the gut microbiome-endocannabinoidome axis. Now equipped with a dual background in pharmacy and molecular medicine, I am passionate about expanding my knowledge in healthcare and life sciences. Diligent, organized, and persistent, I\'ve honed these skills through various projects, ranging from contributing to cutting-edge research to mentoring graduate students in next-generation sequencing. My journey also includes valuable experience at Fruit d\'Or, a nutraceutical company in Québec, where I refined my expertise in literature screening and review, as well as manuscript and report writing. I am now ready to take on new challenges and make meaningful contributions to advancing healthcare and scientific innovation.
