ABOUT TINA BODEN

I am Tina Boden, a 57 year old Businesswoman living on the Yorkshire Coast in England. 37 years and 3rd generation self-employed, over the decades I have built and exited businesses with both success and near bankruptcy. Now I have a portfolio of income streams, a blend that works for the life I want to live while I make my midlife matter and help others do the same. While running my businesses, I campaigned from 2012 to 2022, with Tony Robinson OBE, to make life in micro business better. My life experiences over the years, the work I have done and the giving of time to charities and good causes, including helping to set up 3 legacy funds, has made me realise the importance of making midlife matter while running a business, you can do both trust me! Since 2021 I have experienced surgically enforced menopause, created and hosted Don’t Work With Tossers – The Podcast, founded The Making Midlife Matter Collective – an online and offline space for women where empathy and support blend with fun, happiness and adventure and entered a Pageant for the first time at the age of 56, becoming Mrs North Yorkshire Galaxy 24/25. In the final of Mrs Galaxy UK, I was placed in the Top 10. It drove me to want to do more to challenge ageism, promote self-acceptance and help midlife women live boldly and confidently. In June 2025, I launched AWWA – Accepting Who We Are with Rachel Peru, a movement for women over 40 that is doing just that. And in amongst everything else I am a later-life Model, a Champion for natural ageing, an Event Host, Speaker and Organiser but more importantly a Wife, Mum, Nannie, Daughter and Friend.
