ABOUT TIM SJOGREN

Recently re-joined the Community Business and Real Estate team in Vancity as a Manger, Small Business. Leading a team of dedicated Small Business Advisors. Before that I was in a contract role as the Manager Talent Acquisition and Planning, so went back to lead the team I was on when I first joined Vancity. The two years prior to this I was the Manager of Operations in the Business Banking area of Vancity, supporting the business with areas such as compliance, reporting, project management and pricing. Before that I worked as a business partner/HR Consultant I worked with various lines of business supporting them in areas such as performance management, talent development and org design. This role also brings me into the area of Labour Relations as a number of the different areas that I supported had unionized staff. Previously with Vancity I was a Learning and Development Consultant and a Talent Consultant. In the L&D role I spent a lot of my time facilitating our Orientation Immersion program for both new hires and current staff as well as supporting other areas of the business on various learning initiatives. In the talent team I supported a large number of areas within the Credit Union such as Sustainable Wealth Management, Community Investment, Finance and Marketing. Previous to Vancity I spent many years working at Whistler Blackcomb in operations as an Assistant Manager within their Ski and Snowboard division, yes that means I used to get a lot of ski/ride days in!
