Founded a internationally recognized 501c3 nonprofit design firm that collaborates with leading social entrepreneurs and hundreds of volunteers to design new products and services for the poor in developing countries. Project partners and clients have included the East Meets West Foundation, World Education, Chemonics, CIMIT, Solar Ear (Brazil), the Centre for Mass Education in Science (Bangladesh) and the Mann Deshi Mahila Sahakari Bank (India)- Co-inventor on three patents for improved intravenous drip systems. Implemented novel night-time teaching tool in 45 villages in West Africa, reaching over adult students. Lead the development of an award-winning infant incubator concept. Lead the development of a novel infant phototherapy device, from initial user research through the launch of an on-going six-month clinical evaluation at three hospitals in Vietnam- Developed rigorous processes for user-driven market research, concept development and prototyping testing- Built a collaborative design process through which over 800 student and professional volunteers donated their skills and expertise to the creation of breakthrough products for communities in need- Recruited and managed multidisciplinary, multinational teams of ethnographers, designers, engineers, MBAs and domain experts in the development of new products and services- Lead field operations in 17 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America- Built volunteer partnerships with students and faculty at MIT, Stanford and Harvard; clinical collaborations with Mass General, Brigham and Women\'s Hospital and Children\'s Hospitals in Boston; and pro bono volunteer relationships with companies like IDEO, SolidWorks, Fisher-Price, and law firms like DLA Piper LLP and Choate Hall and Stewart LLP- Recruited and managed dozens of contractors and over $15M in pro bono and reduced rate resources.
