The new process produced concurrence for DPH’s PHEP funding application from all local public health coalitions and the state’s two tribal nations.ORGANIZATION AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTRevised and streamlined annual contract process with all 74 acute care hospitals in the state to achieve the HPP grant objectives. Developed policies and contract guidance; brought grant program into balance from a position of delinquency (and possible reversion of funds) by implementing substantial revisions to the budget process and the expenditure reporting mechanisms to ensure greater fiscal accountability and improved program efficiency.
