About Tim MacChi
Just wrapped up an incredible MBA journey at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where I was fortunate to be a Kenan-Flagler Fellow and a Robert G. Culp Jr. MBA Fellow. This experience has built upon my background in nursing and health policy. My career has taken me from providing advanced life support as a registered nurse at the George Washington Medical Faculty Association – in all sorts of interesting and demanding situations, including instructing future EMTs – to navigating the intense environment of the cardiovascular surgical ICU, especially during the unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic. I\'ve also had the opportunity to contribute to important conversations in healthcare through my publications on topics like telehealth, value-based care, and the social factors that influence health. What truly drives me is tackling tough problems and finding ways to prioritize both the patient and the provider. I\'m excited to start working in healthcare consulting where I can bring together my on-the-ground clinical perspective, my understanding of health policy, and the strategic thinking I developed during my MBA to make a real difference in the healthcare world.
