His clinical work helps people build emotional fluency, repair disconnection, and reclaim a sense of vitality and purpose.He writes and speaks on the intersection of art, culture, faith, and mental health, and his work is exhibited and published internationally.For over 20 years, he has worked at the colorful crossroads of creativity, therapy, and education. He’s an expert in emotional intelligence, creative process, and the psychology of fear and procrastination.He earned his BFA in Graphic Design from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA) and his MA in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Eastern University (St. Davids, PA). He is trained psychodynamically, is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.Before his work in mental health and higher education, TJ spent years as a Creative Director and Director of Communications for national and international nonprofits in NYC and Philadelphia, specializing in brand development, communications, marketing, and strategic planning.He believes every human being is inherently creative—especially when they learn to metabolize their emotions and reconnect with their authentic selves. His passion is helping people understand who they are, what drives them, and how to align their vision, mission, and message so their outer work reflects their inner truth.TJ serves as Chair of the Board for InLiquid, a nonprofit arts organization, and for the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (PCEFT).He lives in Philadelphia with his partner and two sons, a dog, a cat, at least 65 houseplants (and counting), and a growing collection of artwork from emerging artists.
