ABOUT TIMOTHY ALLEN

Hello! My name is Tim and currently I am an undergraduate final year Biochemistry with Research Abroad student at Imperial College London, with a passion for bridging experimental and computational approaches in life science research. At the Karolinska Institute, I worked with the Tammimies Group on RNA-seq data analysis and neural progenitor cell culture, where I developed a strong foundation in big data analysis and experimental design. Currently, I am expanding my skill set as an Undergraduate Researcher with the Vogler Group at the Natural History Museum. I work closely with PhD students and our PI on exploring phylogenetic relationships within the beetle genus, using bioinformatics tools. I thrive on transforming complex datasets into clear decisions and am continually seeking opportunities to expand my technical repertoire. My goal is to contribute to innovative research that leverages data for breakthrough discoveries, and to contribute to a culture of informed, data-driven decision-making in every project I undertake.
