I need to visualize everything. If it is an inefficient process, map it out. If it is data, create charts to tell the story. If it is a complex problem, start drawing diagrams in a notebook until something clicks. This is the approach I have taken throughout my career - while consulting at IBM, teaching at the University of Michigan, as a National Sales Manager, and now it is the fuel for my new department at PlanOmatic.At PlanOlabs we help our clients ask questions and find solutions. How much manual work would automation eliminate? How are we going to scale our operations to match our growth? Where are the defects in our current processes? What trends are appearing in the data?
