ABOUT TIM DODD
Tim Dodd is an experienced, hands-on operator and entrepreneur, driving operating businesses to over 100% annual revenue growth and assembling best-in-class leadership teams, with a focus in the Media and Entertainment industry. Dodd is an experienced founder, serial entrepreneur, M&A and corporate development expert and a lawyer by training. Dodd has lead strategy and development for some of the world\'s largest media and entertainment companies, responsible for $1.5B in transformative acquisitions in visual effects, creative advertising and design studios and consumer premises equipment. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at Technicolor, Dodd led venture investment at Technicolor Ventures, where he served on the Management Committee and built and oversaw the execution of the company\'s Drive2020 strategy, resulting in an expansion of revenue multiples, diversification of revenue sources and double digit stock growth during his tenure. At Warner Bros, Dodd led digital strategy across the television, film and home video licensing groups, drove a revival of the studio\'s music licensing and sound track division, and led multiple investments and acquisitions by the studio\'s venture investment fund. Dodd crafted and led Time Warner Cable\'s technology strategy and policy platform, and was responsible for ground-breaking innovation among cable operators, technology providers Microsoft, Intel and Sony, and all major US studios. Dodd practiced corporate and finance law at the New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Vinson & Elkins, LLP for a decade prior to his career in media and entertainment. While at V&E, he successfully closed over $11B in M&A and project finance deals across Europe, the United States and Asia. Dodd is a graduate of Duke University School of Law (LL.M) and the University of Canterbury (LL.B (Hons.)/B.A.(Japanese).Born and raised in New Zealand, Dodd has been appointed Team Advisor to the New Zealand Olympic Committee for the LA2028 Olympic Games. Dodd is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, and New Zealand, and is fluent in Japanese.
