ABOUT TIMOTHY BROWN
I am passionate about environmental justice and disability rights. I\'ve explored these interests professionally through positions in emergency medicine, environmental education, and the outdoor recreation industry. I am now pursuing business development or project management opportunities in either the renewable energy or sustainable consumer goods sectors. In 2011, while working as a ski patroller in Colorado, I was in a ski accident that caused a spinal injury and paralysis from my chest down. In addition to much reflection and dedication towards rehabilitation over the past five years, I returned to school and recently graduated with a Masters of Liberal Arts in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the Harvard University Extension School. I believe in the importance of resiliency, adaptability, determination, cooperation, compassion, and a strong work ethic. My technical skills include research, writing, public speaking, problem-solving, managerial experience, and conversational Spanish. My hope is that I can bring my passion, skills, and experience to an organization that shares my values and pursues opportunities to create positive social and environmental change.
