I am a botanist with over 25 years’ experience in ecological research and consulting across Australia. The bulk of my work relates to environmental impact assessment or biodiversity conservation. I have significant experience in EIA and have led the ecology component of major infrastructure projects across SE Australia, including appearance as an expert witness.My other focus is biodiversity conservation, where I have extensive experience in:a) fire ecology and the development of fire/biodiversity monitoring projectsb) design and establishment of monitoring programs for threatened species and vegetation communitiesc) determining ecological water requirements for stressed wetland communities, particularly in the Murray-Darling Basin.I have a PhD on the fire ecology of heathlands in the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park in south-east Australia, and a BSc(Hons) on vegetation dynamics at the semi-arid Wyperfeld National Park.Specialties: Flora of south-east Australia / Fire ecology / Ecological monitoring
