ABOUT TIMOTHY TANNENBAUM
In my current role, I lead and oversee the Criminal Investigations Division at the Washington County Sheriff\'s Office. Our division of sixty-two people consists of seven specialized teams, which include the Special Investigation Unit, the Child Abuse Unit, the Violent Crimes Unit, the Property Crimes Unit, the Westside Interagency Narcotic Team (HIDTA), the Forensic Services Unit, and the Digital Forensic Lab. The criminal investigations division investigates felony criminal acts within Washington County. We establish partnerships with our patrol division, coordinate with outside agencies to staff the county Major Crimes Team and work with the district attorney\'s office, which prosecutes many of the cases we investigate. Our detectives participate in and partner with the FBI and JTTF, the Washington County Major Crimes Team, the Washington County Family Justice Center, and other programs designed to hold offenders accountable and provide support for victims and families.
