About Timothy Schmidt

I am a driven Mechanical Engineering graduate from Baylor University certified in SolidWorks computer aided design (CSWA) and experienced in engineering analysis, project development, and research. I exhibit a strong analytical mind with the ability to implement effective solutions in order to to solve complex problems. I possess experience in mechanical design in an internship capacity, including providing updated property information on SolidWorks part and assembly files and developing a rough model for a circuit board using electronic calipers with accuracy within of an inch.I have a passion for mechanical design and I am eager to find a job to utilize my experience and certification (CSWA) in 3D-modeling and Computer-Aided Design (CAD). I enjoy working with technical specifications of different drawings and designs, and I am interested in seeing how my skills and experience could be applied to aid in the manufacturing of different part designs. During my time at Baylor, I have gained leadership experience with different organizations on campus, such as Baylor ASME, the Baylor Men’s Choir, and the ministry organization Baylor Cru. I enjoyed working with the officer team for Baylor ASME, and I also enjoyed the interactions and networking opportunities provided by different engineering companies through informational presentations on campus. The Baylor Men’s Choir is a group that has provided me with an incredible opportunity to formulate a special fellowship and brotherhood while performing amazing music. My experience with Cru has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I have made lifelong friends through the organization!
