About Timothy Ross

Tim Ross is the Managing Partner of Action Research Partners, a research, evaluation and policy consulting firm (see Action Research focuses on child welfare, juvenile and criminal justice, and other issues related to children and families. Prior to founding Action Research, Dr. Ross directed the child welfare program at Child Trends in Washington, DC. Tim spent ten years at the Vera Institute of Justice and was named the first Vera Affiliated Scholar. He is the author of Child Welfare: The Challenges of Collaboration from Urban Institute Press, the chair of the Good Shepherd Services Evaluation Advisory Board, a board member of the Child Welfare Organizing Project, and teaches research methods at the NYU School of Social Work. He has undergraduate degrees in political science from Williams College and the University of Kent at Canterbury and an M.A. and Ph.D. in government and politics from the University of Maryland.Specialties: Research and evaluation, policy analysis, proposal development, nonprofit management, child welfare, juvenile justice, criminal justice
