   As the Managing Director of Charleston Stage Company, currently celebrating its 47th Season at the Historic Dock Street Theatre, I serve as the Chief Executive Officer and am responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization\'s operations, including financial management, fundraising, audience development, marketing, and strategic planning. I collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, and artists to uphold Charleston Stage\'s legacy of artistic excellence and community engagement.Charleston Stage proudly holds the title of South Carolina\'s largest resident professional theatre company. Its rich tapestry of full-scale productions and educational initiatives annually captivates over patrons, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of the state\'s arts scene. At the core of its mission lies a robust array of educational programs, catering to diverse interests and talents. These include special performances tailored for more than school students annually, an after-school TheatreSchool program offering comprehensive theatre training to over 650 students yearly, and the esteemed TheatreWings Apprenticeship Program, a tuition-free platform empowering exceptional high school students with pre-professional theatre training. Additionally, ArtReach Workshops, led by esteemed members of Charleston Stage\'s Professional Resident Acting Company, extend the enchantment of theatre to schools statewide. Beyond its commitment to established works, Charleston Stage boasts a legacy of innovation, having premiered over 30 new plays and musicals. Embracing its roots, the organization champions narratives that celebrate the rich cultural tapestry and history of Charleston and South Carolina.
