ABOUT TIMOTHY MORKOVIN

I have 18 years of diverse and multi-faceted business experience in the finance industry. This ranges from retail mutual funds, wealth management risk, portfolio securities, IRAs, college savings products, institutional, defined contribution retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), 457’s among other retirement plans) and much more. I’m licensed with my series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 66. I have worked in both the front and back office as a senior project lead, coach, trainer and facilitator, and some common threads I’ve found are the importance of interpersonal communication and connections. I enjoy collaborating on initiatives as part of a group effort, solo or in a leadership capacity. I went to the Big Ten powerhouse, University of Illinois, where I honed my skills in such areas as Political Science, Psychology, English Literature and Creative Writing. My business acumen along with my social volunteerism was nurtured at an early age, in large part from interactions with my Grandfather, a ground breaking aeronautical scientist, Mark Morkovin. My grandfather Mark, who was quite the person of many talents, languages and cultural pursuits, earned several PHD\'s from rocket science (not joking), Applied Mathematics and Physics. He helped to instill in me the importance of an economic and financial education, along with his solid belief in generosity and giving back philanthropically. I learned many important lessons in those early years with him, and continue to build upon them. This includes but isn’t in any way a complete list, looking for the quality of life in the everyday, the pursuit of knowledge to positively evolve as a person and participating member in the local and global communities. I’m a creative spirit with an intrinsic, analytical mind. I keep myself open and available to new ideas, inspiration and opportunities.
