About Timothy Klahs
Mr Klahs is a 30 year veteran of the financial services industry. His career in the capital markets spans investment banking, investor relations and investments. Having worked extensively on both the buy and sell sides of the market, in institutional and retail settings, he understands the marketing of financial products from every perspective. He is a graduate of Harvard with a BA in Mathematics and of the Wharton School with an MBA in Finance. He was an integral part and leader of corporate finance and M&A teams in the period of rapid industry consolidations of the 1980s and 1990s for Kidder Peabody and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. His work included major transactions such as the acquisition of Getty by Texaco and the tender defense battle for Martin Marietta waged by Bendix. He then shifted his focus to aiding rapidly growing companies in their quest for investor recognition leading such stellar performers as SFX Broadcasting and SFX Entertainment, as well as American Skandia. Subsequently, he founded and developed his own financial derivative trading firm, Christim Capital, where he marketed investments to individual clients. He also contracted as a consultant to Accenture where he has served as expert adviser for financial topics such as investor relations, capital funding, financial planning, and budgetary analysis. In this role he has established his credentials as an expert financial writer and editor.
