Support the implementation of the City’s resilience and sustainability strategies - Support the development and implementation of the City’s Florida-Friendly Fertilizer Use on Urban Landscapes Ordinance by providing clarity on fee schedules, developing training for our code compliance officers, creating education materials and creating an outreach strategy across the city to inform residents of the ordinance, and developing a process for ensuring that fertilizer applicators meet licensing requirements- Developed policy guidance for the City’s Stormwater Ordinance to improve the procurement, design, and certification process for City Capital Projects that address stormwater management and flood mitigation- Assisted in securing FEMA BRIC funding totaling $7.34 million for a stormwater project in the underserved neighborhood of Little Havana- Project managing the City’s statutory-required vulnerability assessment of city-owned and community assets to flooding and sea level rise where duties include project scoping, community engagement, asset mapping, and exposure analyses- Assisting in project scoping, design alternatives, and evaluation criteria with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer’s (USACE) as a City representative for the multi-million dollar Miami-Dade Back Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study
