Strategic lead for Arts, Culture and Events in Preston overseeing the reimagined Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library, Guild Lounge Theatre, Flag Market and activation of the Harris Quarter. Project Director for the Re-imagined, Harris Your Place, £19m capital project to preserve the building for future generations and to create a world class cultural, civic and community hub for Preston and Lancashire. Leading the plans for re-opening in 2025. Leading the activation plans for the new Harris Quarter, Preston’s heritage and cultural district. Collaborating with a range of public and private sector partners to develop a coordinated approach to programme, audience insight, operational management and marketing. Establish a cross-Council approach to the operational management of the Quarter including parking, community safety, cleaning, regulation and enforcement. Council lead on the planning for Preston Guild 2032, the every 20 year community, civic and cultural celebration for Preston and Lancashire. Starting to develop the initial blueprint for the development of this major celebration, working with partners and communities to position Preston Guild 2032 as a capital of Culture for Lancashire.Developing a strategy for creative sector growth in the city to level up cultural infrastructure, nurture talent and establish an increase in independent organisations based from Preston. Developing a culture first approach to place shaping to drive an increase in visitors, economic spend, positive profile for the city and support the invest agenda to attract development and businesses in to city. Working collaboratively with the Business Improvement District and other key business sector partners. Working with Elected Members to influence strategic thinking around place shaping, culture led development of the city, development of night time economy and the creative sector.

I am an experienced local government, senior manager with 10 years’ experience of streamlining systems, innovation in delivery, business development, leadership and building services around the customer. I am an innovative, dynamic and strategic leader used to working with a diverse range of teams, bringing staff together to deliver specific projects including internal colleagues, contractors, casual staff and volunteers.
