   CDC’s post-doctoral epidemiology training program.• Acts as a frontline responder to public health emergencies—including outbreaks, hazardous materials incidents, and bioterrorism• Serves as physician on call for CDC’s 24/7 National Malaria Clinical Consult Service; answers questions from healthcare providers regarding malaria prevention, diagnosis, outpatient & inpatient management, medication acquisition, medication resistance, and public health concerns.• Leads development of U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI)-funded study protocols on malaria case management and antimalarial medication resistance in Burundi and Liberia.• Provides research team training, data quality control, and analysis for a study on the impact of mass drug administration on lymphatic filariasis prevalence in American Samoa.• Engages in outbreak responses, including the 2023-24 Clade 1 Mpox response and the 2023 domestic malaria response.• Analyzes epidemiologic and health commodity supply chain data to guide public health decisions; Based on findings, makes public health policy and programmatic management recommendations to the branch, PMI staff, and partners.• Conducts outbreak investigations and surveillance system evaluations.• Develops and reviews academic manuscripts and abstracts in collaboration with partners.• Builds partnerships with global public health organizations including foreign health ministries, World Health Organization, African Field Epidemiology Network, Pacific Island Health Officers Association, International Organization for Migration, UNICEF, and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.• Builds partnerships with diverse sectors of the U.S. government, including state and territorial health departments, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).• Regularly utilizes R, DHIS2, REDCap, and KoboCollect for data management.
