Responsibilities include supporting the engineering department to advance various foam product prototypes to machine production. Calibrate chemical streams for pilot machine operations, perform sample preparation for physical and mechanical testing, inventory management of all production runs, quality control testing and general research and development of chemicals used for foam production.• Use mechanical and thermal analysis equipment in the physical test lab• Test for physical properties such as permeability, densities, compression settings, burn, etc.• Data entered onto Excel spreadsheets. Analyze data with regard to chemical changes to achieve the same properties of existing foam products with newer inexpensive components• Handle hazardous chemicals, conduct daily TDI monitoring and follow Safety SOP.
