Apply deep expertise in corporate governance and compliance, complex commercial transactions and M&A, and the myriad of stringent fraud and abuse, data privacy, patient care and product education and promotion restrictions impacting medical device, diagnostics and pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers and institutions, and clinical laboratories and research organizations to enable clients to accomplish organizational objectives and optimize outcomes for those they serve while adhering to highly-regulated industry restrictions. Design infrastructures, develop policies and procedures, and provide strategic legal and operational advice to c-suite executives and in-house counsel enabling creative ad-hoc and programmatic navigation of compliance risks scaled to fit client-specific organizational growth and product development and commercialization phases. Establish and provide content analysis support for client Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review processes and other content review and vetting efforts applicable to client issuances, ranging from public filings to external and internal public relations materials and press releases. Provide customized trainings on corporate and healthcare compliance policies to boards of directors and compliance and internal investigations trainings to in-house counsel and HR business partners. Counsel clients and design data privacy and security frameworks to comply with federal, state and international patient, research subject and employee data privacy laws implicated in clinical affairs, research and development, data aggregation and product utilization. Advise attorney colleagues on ethics and compliance issues as member of the firm’s Office of General Counsel.
