ABOUT TIMOTHY BISHOP

Tim is a highly experienced Executive (CRO) and Board member / Non-Executive in General Insurance (Commercial lines, Personal lines and Health Insurance). Brings a proven Executive / Board / Non Executive track record and great depth of knowledge of Risk and financial management. Focusses on “what matters” and has the drive and capability to influence significant decisions and lead or contribute to enhanced solutions and outcomes across the full Executive / Board agenda. He has attended numerous Boards and Committees in his capacity as CRO over many years and until recently was a non-executive director at the Motor Insurance Bureau and chair of its Audit and Risk committee. Tim’s last role was CRO of Aviva’s UK General Insurance business reporting into the Aviva plc CRO and UKGI CEO. The role included responsibility for the Actuarial function (including risk analytics) with the Canadian / Irish CRO reporting into the role. He has considerable Regulatory engagement experience and a strong track record of delivering of good shareholder and customer outcomes. Tim has also held several senior Finance roles at Aviva UKGI the most recent being UKGI Capital and Reserving director where he successfully delivered significant improvements to capital, liquidity and investment management as well as balance sheet resilience to risks and shocks.
