   Tim specializes in blast analysis and physical security design solutions. He has extensive experience in innovative design for high profile new, existing, and historic structures. Tim has worked with the numerous U.S. federal and defense agencies including GSA, DoS, VA, NAVFAC, USACE, AFCEC and the intelligence community. Tim has successfully developed protective design solutions for facilities such as U.S. Embassies, agency headquarters, federal buildings and courthouses, hospitals and clinics, office and administration facilities, munitions storage, and data centers. Tim has also worked with airports, colleges and universities, and private organizations to improve security features and programs. Tim collaborates closely with clients and team members nationally to develop appropriate and constructible solutions that that support the aesthetic and functional intent for the facility. Tim currently leads the protective design and security team in the Boston office of Thornton Tomasetti, and for the U.S. Northeast Region. Tim has been published by Civil Engineering Magazine and the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) for his expertise in blast mitigation for historic buildings, and was awarded the Oliver Torrey Fuller Award by APT for technical excellence and innovation. He has presented on the topic of blast engineering and protective design nationally.
