My academic foundation, combined with over 28 years of experience, has equipped me with specialized expertise in water and wastewater process applications, air quality management, and sustainable engineering solutions for underserved communities.In addition to my industry experience, I served as an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Military Institute for seven years. During this time, I was honored with the Rising Star Award from the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia in 2015, the VMI Distinguished Teaching Award, the Wilbur S. Hinman \'26 Research Award, and the VMI Institute Advancement Award for advancing the institution\'s reputation.A key focus of my career has been humanitarian engineering projects. I have led sustainable water and sanitation initiatives in Bolivia, Haiti, Ecuador, Uganda, and across the U.S, resulting in over 100 miles of water and sanitation mains, 200+ sanitation facilities, and clean drinking water infrastructure benefiting more than families. These projects have saved the lives of over people by providing access to clean water and improved sanitation.With more than 28 years of experience in water and wastewater utility design and construction, I have managed various projects at local, state, and federal levels. My expertise spans process and utilities engineering, project management, and infrastructure development, including the budgeting, design, and construction of potable and non-potable water systems, wastewater treatment plants, deep well potable water sources, and large-diameter pipelines. These projects enhance community infrastructure and deliver sustainable solutions that meet both immediate needs and future challenges.Driven by the desire to create lasting, positive change through engineering innovation, I am committed to advancing sustainable practices, improving access to clean water, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
