ABOUT TIMO FÖRSTER

After spending over a decade in international higher education, I\'ve found my way to a space where tourism, culture, and technology meet in fascinating ways. Today, I work with tourism and culture organizations at destinetCHANGE, helping teams get started with AI through workshops, webinars, talks, and hands-on implementations. Whether it\'s building a first AI assistant or setting up practical automations, my focus is always on enabling people, not just deploying technology.I help drive the AI clubs for tourism and culture, and what excites me most is the idea of hybrid intelligence: combining human insight with AI capabilities rather than replacing one with the other. This approach is rooted in my years at Hochschule Fresenius in Cologne, where I designed and led the International Tourism & Event Management Master\'s program, taught in German, English, and Spanish across topics like tourism trends and regional studies and built integrated support systems for international students navigating life in Germany. That work taught me something essential: the best solutions come from understanding real people, real struggles, and real contexts, not from imposing one-size-fits-all frameworks. My own international journey, studying my BBA in the Netherlands and MSc in Scotland, taught me early on that the best learning happens when you step outside your comfort zone and embrace different perspectives. That\'s the mindset I bring to my work today. Whether you\'re running a museum, a destination management organization, a tourist information center, or a cultural institution, I\'m here to support your team in working confidently with AI, grounded in your specific needs and realities.I\'m not here to sell hype or promise miracles, just practical, thoughtful support for organizations ready to explore what AI can do for them. When I\'m not working, you\'ll find me with my family, at a football match, or at a punk rock concert. If you\'d like to talk about AI, tourism, culture, or international education (still very much a topic close to my heart), feel free to reach out via LinkedIn DM. I\'m always up for a good conversation.
