About Tim Oakley
I have 30+ years as an operating CFO leading high-growth public and private technology companies spanning SaaS, enterprise software, Internet, digital media, and mobile communications. I have had the good fortune of partnering with amazing people and have conducted $1 billion in financial transactions/exits, including three successes in the Triangle (Appia, iContact, and Opensite). I was an early partner/current advisory board member at Cherwell Software, which raised $172M from KKR and sold to Ivanti for an attractive exit and provided advisory and coaching services for five years to CData, which secured a $350M investment from Warburg Pincas in June 2024. I am currently engaged in two primary ventures, Prudent Growth Capital & Thrivers Integrative Mentoring. I am an executive at Prudent Growth Partners, a private real estate investment company based in Chapel Hill, NC. Partnering with my friend and President, Tom Hahn, our goal is to build relationships with other like-minded investors who wish to earn above-market returns by investing in commercial real estate (prudentgrowth.com).I am also partnered with my friend and colleague Vance Brown to offer Thrivers, a framework for business leaders to balance the demands of leading high-growth organizations without losing the rest of their lives. Thrivers Integrative Guidance Program provides group and individual executive coaching, mentoring and advisory services.
