About Tim Nixon

I care passionately about games and strongly believe in their ability to make the world a better place. In my career as a product and company leader I\'ve brought together multiple teams to ship award winning, profitable products on PC, browser and mobile.I have specialized the inception and production of games inspired by the real world. This has covered Serious Game productions ranging from kitchen skills training to physics and hairdressing, and eventually led me join natural history filmmaking company NHNZ to build a new company focused on games inspired by nature. That new company, Runaway, went on to produce games in partnership with global brands such as National Geographic, World Wildlife Fund, and DeNA, and has recently celebrated it\'s 10th birthday as a thriving, profitable and innovative developer and publisher.I moved to Santa Monica in 2018 to join thatgamecompany and direct their expansion into a live service product company and self publisher. Our first mobile free to play game, Sky, won Apple\'s iPhone Game of the Year, and has grown in revenue every month since launch.I\'m especially interested in the role that games play in the wellbeing of our players, and love building healthy, happy communities of players who are proud to have our games in their lives.
