Integrating concepts for platform design, hardware acceleration (custom and COTS), software stack functional delineation and abstraction, to create hyper-converged appliances, chassis, and COTS systems. These systems address both the installed F5 customer base and target net new business opportunities. Member of Office of the CTO Systems group. Explore emerging technology and market opportunities. Create innovation projects which output a demonstration or proof-of-concept to highlight new technology. Evangelize with business line management to adopt and incorporate into products the most promising new technology. Highlight upcoming paradigm shifts and market disruptions so that business units can be proactive rather than reactive. Participate and foster interactions with peer companies, vendors, and open source projects to align F5 with its vendors, partners, and application ecosystems. Member of the F5 Architecture Council. Create viewpoints and collateral to foster high leverage use of common IP and design patterns across all of the companies business units.
