ABOUT TIM MARKHAM
I started my career as a clerk in 1980 in the specialist family law set of Joseph Jackson QC at 1 Mitre Court (now 1 Hare Court). I then spent 8 years in what is now 2 Bedford Row (chambers of Jim Sturman KC & Brian Altman KC) as a Second Junior clerk and was then promoted to Joint First Junior. I joined 5 Pump Court as First Junior Clerk in 1990 before being promoted to Senior Clerk in 1995. I am a fully qualified member of the Institute of Barristers\' Clerks. In July 2018 I achieved the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, specifically tailored for barristers’ clerks. I am a serving member of the Management Committee of the Institute of Barristers Clerks. Outside of work I play the drums in a rock covers band, am a keen photographer and enjoy running.
