Help students choose classes and plan for their lives after graduation. Provide information about choosing and applying for colleges, training programs, financial aid, and internships and apprenticeships. Proactively create and develop positive relationships with all members of the school community (students, teachers, families). Establish positive working relationships with colleges and universities. Work with students and their families to understand the career alternatives available to them as well as the educational alternatives that are accessible. Employs several venues to reach students and families, including individual conferences with students and families, larger group presentations in workshops, classrooms, and college visits. Maintain a resource library print & electronic information of college catalogues, college guides, scholarship information, and financial aid applications. Coordinates college visits to the school. Participate in local college fairs. Coordinate college entrance exam testing and interpretation. Help students set goals, prepare for interviews and select the best educational program for them.
