I’ve been building websites since the early days of the web, but as the web grew, I realized the problem was no longer technology — it was confusion.Businesses and nonprofits are no longer failing because they lack tools.They get stuck because their marketing feels scattered, reactive, or frustratingly unclear.I started Backslash Creative in 2003 to fix that.Over the years, I’ve watched organizations chase trends, pile on tactics, and invest in “solutions” that never quite lined up with their goals. The result was usually the same: more effort, more expense, and very little confidence that it was all working together.What I learned is this:Most organizations don’t need more marketing — they need better direction.That’s where my team and I come in.Today, I help small B2B service firms and human-focused nonprofits step back, identify what’s actually holding them back, and move forward with clarity.
