ABOUT TIM KAY

I help infrastructure organisations make better decisions about their assets and improve the performance that follows. Over the past 20 years I’ve worked with owners, operators and investors across transport, aviation, defence and utilities. The consistent thread has been aligning strategy, risk and performance so the organisation can deliver long-term value with confidence. Asset management is often treated as a compliance exercise or a technical improvement project. That approach misses the point. Real impact comes from treating asset management as a leadership discipline. It should guide investment, shape behaviours and strengthen resilience across the whole organisation, not sit in a specialist silo. That view underpins my work. We support clients who want to cut through noise, focus on what actually moves the dial and embed the structures and habits that sustain performance. The emphasis is always on practical delivery, visible progress and decisions that stand up to challenge. As a Fellow of the Institute of Asset Management, I contribute to the profession through thought leadership, guidance development and mentoring. I’m committed to raising the standard of asset management practice and ensuring it delivers clear, defensible value.
