Founder of Capital & Centric, a social impact developer, investor and operator based in Manchester. On average we spend £2m a week on regeneration. Current projects include the iconic £50m Littlewoods Complex to create film and TV studios in Liverpool; The restoration of Crusader Mill and the renovation of Talbot Mill to create over 500 homes, pocket parks and co working studios The £250m Kampus project (my former uni campus!) is creating a new neighbourhood in Manchester city centre including 500 homes restaurants, bars, workspace and public’s squares. In Sheffield our conversions of Eyewitness Works and Ceylon Buildings alongside our new buildings are kickstarting an emerging family housing district. The 275 bedroom Adair St hotel in Manchester is part of Capital & Centric’s Piccadilly East masterplan, listed in the Sunday Times as as one of the best emerging places to live in the UK. We ban investors and only sell homes to owner occupiers, we create communities that catalyse wider regen ambitions.We currently spend £2m a week on regeneration. Everything we build is super energy efficient too! We\'ve developed £500m of pioneering and RIBA awards winning projects in the past 10 years and we’re expanding beyond our Northern roots. So much of why we do is in collaboration with public sector partners, taking a long term view of value creation, finding innovative ways to unlock challenging sites and redefining how people think of whole neighbourhoods.
