As Director of Finance for Government Contracts, I oversee government contract accounting compliance across Meggitt PLC, a UK-based engineering and manufacturing company competing in the aerospace, defense, and energy markets. My primary responsibilities include:\\\\n• Providing leadership, supervision, training, development and guidance to various site teams in all financial areas of government contract accounting\\\\n• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with finance, commercial, supply chain, engineering, and program management teams at the site and corporate levels.\\\\n• Developing and maintaining internal policies and procedures to support compliance and consistency with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).\\\\n• Identifying and overseeing the implementation of enhancements to government contracting compliance processes and capabilities across the Company.\\\\n• Support significant proposal activity and pricing strategy.\\\\n• Coordinating and supporting preparation, submission and negotiation of forward pricing agreements, annual incurred cost submissions, and CAS disclosure statements.\\\\n• Act as primary liaison between Meggitt entities and US Government auditors and contracting authorities.\\\\n• Preparing home office CAS disclosure statements and overseeing the home office allocation process.\\\\n• Performing reviews of business unit compliance with FAR, CAS and Group policies and procedures, recommend corrective actions, and oversee implementation of any necessary changes arising from such reviews.\\\\n• Providing periodic analysis of indirect cost rate structures and allocation methodologies to help optimize the combination of cost recovery, competitiveness, and alignment with Meggitt’s long-term strategic direction.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
