Accomplishments & Role: • I have grown Thermo Fisher’s global government relations function from 3 to 18 team members who now cover our major markets and support vertical and functional leaders. • Advise leadership on navigating intractable geopolitical challenges and formulating the company’s posture on social issues, ESG, human rights, export controls and sensitive markets. • Serve as lead for executives in highly visible trade association roles, including the chair of the US-China Business Council. • Intervene with government to support the successful, timely completion of M&A transactions. • During the pandemic, I provided a steady hand in the face of unprecedented visibility from the President of the United States, governors and world leaders; directly supported our commercial organization providing both the leading PCR covid test and vaccine inputs; managed impossible supply chain demands to deliver for Warp Speed & customers; kept all our businesses and sites functioning through lockdowns.
