   Minutemen Equity Fund

   The Minutemen Equity Fund is a long-only, value fund that is comprised of a selective team of 20 students that work to beat the S&P 500. In 2007, MEF started with and now it has grown to over thanks to the due diligence, passion, and hard work of the students selected to be in this fund. MEF allows its members to further their financial skills and education within the realm of finance by teaching its members how to conduct equity research and create financial models. As a Senior Analyst in the Industrials Sector, I am paired with a Junior Analyst who I am tasked with mentoring and assisting in their growth of qualitative and quantitative skills. As a mentor, I help him with anything and everything, from how to compose himself to how to conduct analysis. As teammates, we work together to monitor the sector\'s holdings, research potential companies to invest in, construct discounted cash flow models on these companies, and then pitch our findings to the Fund. In addition to the Fund\'s exceptional investment experience, the upperclassmen and alumni put emphasis on professional development and are committed to providing members the assistance necessary to land and succeed in myriad different career opportunities within finance.
