About Tim Cawood

Tim Cawood is a former President and Business Unit Manager for the Geomatics Group at McKim & Creed, a 800+person surveying and engineering firm with offices throughout the South, Mid-Atlantic and in Texas. Mr. Cawood is a licensed Surveyor in 8 states, is an NSPS Certified Hydrographer and is a graduate of ACEC’s Senior Executive Institute (SEI). Mr. Cawood is Past Chairman of COPS (Council of Professional Surveyors), and served on the Board of Directors at McKim & Creed from 2009 – 2014. He currently works for McKim & Creed part-time as a Senior Advisor. Mr. Cawood started as a rodman at McKim & Creed in 1985 on the company’s very first survey crew and worked his way up to President of the Geomatics business unit. He has helped lead the Geomatics group at McKim & Creed in its growth from to more than $50 million in annual revenues. Geomatics services at McKim & Creed include conventional surveys, GNSS/GPS surveys, GIS, hydrographic surveys, SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering), terrestrial laser scanning, photogrammetry, MoDaC (Mobile Data Collection, Mobile Lidar, Mobile Scanning), Airborne Lidar and UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) services.
