About Tim B.

My current and long term goals and expertise lie in identifying animation needs on both the creative and technical fronts, developing plans for fulfilling those needs, and ultimately seeing those needs met via pipelines and processes that fit the studio animation objectives. I also helped start and organize the GDC Animation Bootcamp, handing my responsibilities for that off in 2016.In addition, I co-founded the Animation Diversity Foundation, and currently sit on the board as President and Treasurer. We provide continued educational and professional support, via scholarships and mentorships, to under-represented groups in the game development animation community, including LGBTQIA+, women, minorities, disabled persons, the financially disadvantaged and new parents.Specialties: Character animation, animation direction, motion capture studio build-out and direction, performance capture, rigging, tool writing, technical animation, maxscript, python, pipeline development, node graph/blendtree/motion graph tool design and development.
