To further the CoE Security mission, I will be focused on innovation.To that end, a new role has been created, reporting directly to the Director of Security for CX EMEA. My focus here will be the technical interlock of CX and Cisco\'s other BUs, identifying new service creation opportunities, leading service development, field pilots and acting as a thought leader representing CX brand.Alongside delivery on a variety of specialised customer projects, I have also been involved in:* Continuing to incubate the CoE\'s response to changes in EMEA-wide regulation* Representing CX with Cisco\'s global sellers and architect communities* Stewarding CX EMEA work with the wider product management team* Publishing multiple whitepapers and presentations on technical aspects of cyber security* Developing new functionality in pursuit of with respect reporting engine and training labsOne aspect of this role, that I am particularly proud of is the development of my role in mentoring the next generation of cyber security professionals. I support Cisco UK with respect to local educational programmes for schools and colleges as well as my colleagues across Cisco through programmes such as Women in Cyber Security.The role also provides an interlock to the Office of the CTO.

ABOUT TIM BROWN
As an Engineering Technical Leader at Cisco, I am passionate about advancing the mission of the CX CoE Security team, which is to deliver best-in-class security services and solutions to our customers. I have over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with multiple CREST certifications and publications to my name.In my current role, I focus on innovation and technical interlock across Cisco\'s business units, identifying new service creation opportunities, leading service development, field pilots, and acting as a thought leader representing the CX brand. The role currently includes developing Cisco\'s EMEA strategy for regulations such as NIS2 and DORA etc.Spending time away from customers, I am also mentoring the next generation of cyber security professionals, supporting national academic programmes in the UK as well as Cisco\'s own apprentices and early in career efforts.I continue to contribute to the MEF Forum\'s standards on application security for SD-WAN and security functions for IP, MITRE\'s ATT & CK framework for Linux and volunteer as a sponsor, CTF lead, and CFP reviewer at EMF Camp. I am also an advisor to NCSC.
