Across my career as a corporate safety leader, I have had the opportunity to serve as a change catalyst and true business partner to help drive corporate growth while embedding a culture of safety organization-wide. I truly believe and have seen first-hand that a safe and healthy work environment improves employee retention while reducing costs in lost time and insurance premium penalties. To build out or improve on world-class safety programs, I gain buy-in across all functions and senior leadership and partner closely with HR leaders, CFO’s, COO’s, corporate attorneys, insurance partners, and medical professionals. Examples of my career highlights include: Developing full safety programs during the construction phase ahead of operations start-up for two separate facilities. Reducing EMR rates from 1+ to as low as.65 and saving up to 23% in insurance premium costs. Initiating or improving health and safety operations for ethanol, activated carbon, and offshore drilling rig manufacturing facilities with up to 1,200 employees. Co-chairing a 20-company, nationwide Safety Council for the PE firm, Energy Capital Partners.
