On our second morning of business, and after my 56k phone modem finally connected, an email came through from a company called broadcast.com.I had no idea what they were, but as their web page finally populated my screen, I was intrigued.As I surfed through their site, I was bristling with nerves and excitement. Their email had indicated that they liked my VO demo and desired to place me on retainer to record various voiceovers several times per week for their online radio stations.It was the start of a great collaboration and a much needed boost of confidence for my fledgling online voice talent and audio production company.Eventually… broadcast.com went dark. By then, I had established Audio Tango’s online presence, serving dozens of both local and web-based clients.In the quarter century since, we’ve provided award-winning audio and voiceovers to businesses the world over: from mom and pops to Fortune 500s, ad-agencies, and even The Simpsons TV show!A few years ago, I looked up broadcast.com to see whatever became of them.Turns out, a young guy with a dream had invested into the company so he could listen to his alma mater’s basketball games.
