ABOUT TIM SWITALSKI

Professional Background: Tim is founder and president of Darwin Associates, an innovation consulting firm in Buffalo, New York, where for the past 27 years he has provided training, facilitation, coaching and consulting services to organizations around the world. His primary focus is helping people to develop their leadership potential, build healthy and cohesive teams and enhance their creative thinking skills. He is also a founding partner of the Center for Certification in Creativity, an organization devoted to developing creative leadership throughout Latin America, where he has served as faculty, coach and coordinator of the coaching program. Tim has served as Director of Leadership Development at Buffalo State College where he was responsible for providing ongoing learning and development opportunities for professional staff and faculty. He has an MS in Creativity and Change Leadership from the Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College. Coaching Experience: Throughout his career, Tim has been increasingly drawn to coaching as a preferred way of working with people to help them to realize their personal and professional goals and live more balanced and fulfilled lives. He views his role as a supportive catalyst that can facilitate a client’s awareness of behaviors and actions that lead to the results they desire. This can include coaching for development, performance, relationships, leadership or targeted behavioral change. Sessions are typically one-on-one, at a distance or in-person. Observation in the context of the work environment accompanied by feedback is also a useful approach leading to positive change. He also applies creative thinking and Creative Problem Solving as a framework to help clients to clarify their vision, identify challenges, explore ideas and develop strategies that can help them move toward their goals.
