ABOUT TIM PONSETI
With over two decades building high-performance teams and creating well-designed organizations in the electric power sector, my tenure at SERC Reliability Corporation has been marked by a commitment to relationships, leadership, and operational excellence. Previously at TVA, I honed my expertise leading real time transmission operations, 7 state balancing authority, 11 state reliability coordinator, policy, maintenance, training, system planning, advanced power apps, network operations, real time power trading ($1 B), and long term power contracts/marketing ($16 B) to keep the lights on. Led the design and siting team for TVA\'s new PSOC. I now leverage this experience at SERC to ensure the reliability and security of the bulk power grid. My focus is on: 1. growing leaders at SERC, while building and enabling an influential, technical team; 2. Identifying and communicating existing and emerging risks to the electric power grid; 3. forging relationships with stakeholders and policy makers across the industry, to better inform them about these risks and promote a more reliabile power grid.
