I joined CBRE in September 2011 and I am an Executive Director leading the UK Student Accommodation valuation team. Prior to CBRE, I worked in residential valuation. I have experience in both the private residential market and social housing. Through my housing association clients my exposure to student accommodation increased, and as the market appetite and range of investors grew, I helped found the student accommodation team at Drivers Jonas in 2007. With a long track record of specialist experience in the student accommodation sector my network includes the full circle of clients, including banks, lenders, private equity, institutional funds, specialist funds, listed vehicles, developers, owner operators, and universities.I work with some of the largest and most active funds in the sector such as Unite, iQ and ESP. In addition, I manage portfolios for many of CBRE core client’s with student accommodation exposure such as Aviva, L&G, M&G, PGIM, LaSalle, Aberdeen Standard, Nuveen Real Estate, and AXA.I have specialisms in many different investment models in the sector, such as income strips, DBFO projects and bond offerings. I have helped develop CBRE’s student research offering, including detailed student demand and supply reports for bond prospectuses, planning viability and strategic purposes.
